They may have anorexia as well, even though they might be very hungry. The severity of the symptoms varies from patient to patient, but most people are constantly nauseated and their nausea grows worse after they eat. This can lead to vomiting, and when they do vomit the food has not been digested. Patients also have belching and bloating after meals that is bad enough to affect their diaphragm and make it harder to breathe. There are differences in the type of abdominal pain felt by different patients. The pain can be chronic and spread all over the abdomen. In some patients it has a burning quality, while in others the pain is describe as gnawing. Some patients experience pain when they eat, and this makes the chronic pain worse. They may also have pain from a sluggish gallbladder.
